I want to allow users to edit the posts without giving the admin access. I have a Basic Authentication plugin which stopping them to access it. But when i deactivate it they’re able to edit the posts with contributor role access.
Now, My requirement is Basic Authentication plugin should be active and the users should able to edit the posts.

Thanks for reaching out to us.
It could be done with the feature called Role Base Restriction in our WordPress REST API Authentication plugin.
In this feature, you will assign APIs to the particular user roles and they can access only given APIs with their own username and password. You don’t have to give admin access to your users.
For Example, you will set posts APIs to contributor user roles, now the users with contributor role can access / edit posts APIs with their own username and password.
This feature is supported in our premium version let us know if you want us to give a demo of this feature to you.
How much you guys will charge for Basic authentication plugin. per instance and per user. So that i can propose to my team and i will get back to you.
The feature you are looking for where you want to have basic authentication protection for your APIs and contributor roles should be able to edit POST is available in our REST API premium version which cost $249.
You can use this link to purchase the plugin.
Let us know if you have any questions.
