unfortunately we have the problem in the Jira and Confluence SSO plugin that the custom properties are not being set by the plugin.
We use Open ID Connect (OICD) as authentication method and for testing we wanted to set the attribute “gender”. In general, we are interested in transferring custom attributes from the IdP to Jira and Confluence, e.g. SAP cost center, etc.
By default, JIRA and Confluence do not provide the additional profile field to store extra user information. However, in JIRA additional user information can be stored as “User Properties”.
The JIRA OAuth/OIDC SSO plugin already provides a way to map additional user properties from Open ID Connect (OICD) Provide to JIRA. You will find this setting in the “User Profile” tab of the plugin and the configuration is the same as User profile mapping.
But for Confluence, the plugin needs to create a custom field for user profile. This is not supported yet but the technical team can customize the plugin to fulfill this use case.
I will recommend raising a Support request to miniOrange Customer Portal and the technical team will help you out with the configuration. You can raise a support request from the link below.
