User profile update from SAML does not work

    Hi, I have – I think – configured that the profile data should be updated each time a user logs in via SAML. This does not work at all, unfortunately.

    I am setting up Confluence to use SAML logins from Okta.

    What I did:

    • I explicitly DISabled the check box “Do not update attributes of existing users”.
    • I added the SAML attributes in Okta to my SAML request
    • I verified that the attributes are in the “Test Configuration” table
    • I mapped the attributes to the fields in Confluence

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    There might be some configurations issue in the plugin which is why the user profile is not updating on Single Sign-On.

    Could you please share your plugin configurations along with plugin log to debug it further?
    Steps to get logs and plugin configurations are provided under the Troubleshooting section in the plugin.
