Redirecting to referring page

  • # 4 years, 2 months ago

On our WP site, we provide a custom 404 error page with a login link which is triggered if the user isn’t authenticated. If the guest chooses to login, they are referred back to the page that they couldn’t access with a URL that looks like: <blog-url>/wp-login.php?redirect_to=request_uri. With the Social Login plugin, there is no customization to preserve the referring URI through the OAUTH process. Is there a way to direct the user back to their request_uri?

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As I understand from your use case that you want to have redirect_uri sent in the $redirect_to parameter so that after the user gets authenticated they will redirect to the actual page instead of 404 error page.

For now we don’t have this implemented in our plugin. We have added your request to our pipeline. We will update you as soon as we release it in our plugins.

    Thank you
