Yes, since scanning the QR code isn’t really an option to set up 2FA in the desktop app, you can inform your users to copy the SECRET KEY which is present below the QR code during the process of registration/configuration and paste it on the “Enter Code given by the website” text box present in the add account section (marked with “+” sign on the top right corner of the Authy desktop app).

Paste the SECRET KEY, click on add account and select an account name and logo for this 2FA registration.

Once you are done with the above-mentioned steps a 2FA passcode will be visible in the Authy Desktop app against your added account.

Users can use this passcode to validate themselves while they log into their respective Jira accounts.

‘Remember My Device’ feature has an expiration time after which the devices are forgotten.
The user can follow the below steps to verify if their expiry time is set accordingly or not:
1. Click on the Profile icon from the top right corner.
2. Select Two Factor Configuration from the list.
3. The user should be able to see an entry for their remembered device under Saved devices. Confirm if the expiry date displayed is in accordance with 90 days from the day of configuration.

If no such entry is seen under Saved devices, then the user might have missed enabling the ‘Remember Me‘ checkbox during the configuration, which is why they are asked for an OTP.

If the Remember Me option seems to be rightly configured as mentioned above and yet the problem persists, I will recommend raising a Support request to miniOrange Customer Portal and the technical team will help you out with your issue.

The issue pointed out by you is a known issue and a fix for this will be released shortly.

For now, there is an alternative way to fix this issue but for that, I will need a little information about your use case.

Q1. Did your users enable Remember my login on this computer while logging into Jira?
Q2. Which authentication method are your users using?
Q3. What is the Jira 2FA add-on version that you are using?

Hi Keith,

We tried to add a text block with WPBakery on our local site and we did not face the same issue with Social Login plugin. Could you add a screenshot to show what is happening?

If you want to debug this, you can try to deactivate all your plugins one at a time to find out if there is another plugin which is the cause of the conflict.
